TODD CURTIS has been the Portfolio Manager of Churchill Tax-Free Fund of Kentucky since May, 2009. Mr. Curtis had previously been the back-up portfolio manager of Churchill Tax-Free Fund of Kentucky since 2004 and is also the lead manager of the Aquila Group of Funds Tax-Free Trust of Arizona, a role he has held since the inception of the Trust in 1986.  As the prior back-up portfolio manager for Churchill Tax-Free Fund of Kentucky, Todd is closely familiar with aspects of the portfolio and the Kentucky municipal debt market that are specific to the fund.

Prior to joining Aquila’s staff, Mr. Curtis was a Vice President and fixed income manager of Banc One Investment Advisors.  He held various portfolio management and trading positions at Bank One since 1982, where he managed individual accounts, a proprietary single-state municipal bond fund, as well as the Aquila Group of Funds Tax-Free Trust of Arizona.   Mr. Curtis was a member of the Banc One Fixed Income Funds Sub-Committee.

Previously, Mr. Curtis worked for seven years in the insurance industry with Arthur J. Gallagher & Company in Rolling Meadows Illinois, Marsh & McLennan in Chicago, Illinois and The Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, Connecticut.  Mr. Curtis is CFA charterholder.  He is a member of the Society of Financial Analysts and the Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst.  He received a B.A. in Economics from Cornell College in 1971 and a M.B.A. from Arizona State University in 1981.
